Just a question I've been wondering about: How many rays and indirect rays are being cast for the completed scene (this version, and the last lower res version)? How many per screen update (as quality levels out)?
Depending on the viewpoint 50-100 Mrays/sec and about 12 Mrays per frame. You can see the number of rays in the upper left corner.
